For the first time ever, North America will be getting a piece of Nintendo hardware before Japan. Nintendo has announced release dates for the DS in Japan (Dec. 2, 2004 and North America (Nov. 21, 2004). The unit will hit Europe and Australia in the first quarter of 2005.
One of the other surpises with this press release is the fact that the unit will retail for $149.99 which is higher than the handhelds go for now, but still a lot lower than anyone expected. I know it will give Nintendo an edge over Sony’s PSP that is expected to have a very bloated price.
The DS will come with embedded PictoChat software to allow up to 16 people to chat at once. Also included will be a demo of the new Metroid game called Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt which has a stellar first person mode as well as wireless mutliplayer.
The list of launch titles is ever growing and should be finalized as we near the release date.

You knew it was coming at some point and it is on it’s way. Sony released a redesigned Playstation named the PSOne when the PS2 debuted and it outsold the PS2 in Japan for a long time. Now they have released images of a redesigned PS2 named the PSTwo and it is incredibly thin. The images are stunning. My PS2 works just fine, but goodness gracious.

Yes folks today is the day that I have been waiting for quite awhile. Star Wars Battlefront and the trilogy will be in my hands in a few minutes. Cone is also so excited he is peeing in his pants.
Well I have bad news for all of you Splinter Cell fans. Ubisoft is delaying the upcoming title until March of ’05. I personally was hoping to get the third installment this holiday season. The March ’05 release will be for all consoles and for the PC. Ubisoft has not released any details on the delay, our only hope is for a true March ’05 release.
Just made a phone call to one of our close comrades at EB Games. Star Wars Battlefront is in stores, unfortunately they can’t be sold until tomorrow morning. I have been waiting for this game for quite sometime now. I will be on Live tomorrow as soon as I get it, so hit me up with an invite.
In other news, tomorrow is also the release of the Star Wars Trilogy DVD. I myself have refused to getting it on VHS, personally cause I hate the format. So I have been waiting for it on DVD for a long time now. Cheers!!
