Fable and more Phantom news

September 20, 2004

Dots and I wrapped up Fable on Saturday and I can’t wait to start another game. The review should be up in the morning along with the contest we are holding.

In Phantom news, there are numerous reports that the November 18th date that was set for releasing the new console has been pushed back to March 2005. They are apparently not in any rush to get a gamelist out or even get the VPGN, the network that supports the console, online before Christmas. For a long time there I at least expected them to get to market with this thing and then be crushed. At this point it looks like they probably won’t even do that. I wonder how much money those top execs take home every paycheck for this attempt at a console.

Weekend update

September 19, 2004

The Xtreme Gaming Cyber cafe was packed Sat. night, we all had a great time and their pizza’s rule. That is one great hang out. Congrats on Gustav for winning the tourney that was set up there, hopefully if all cards fall into place SB will be giving out some cool stuff there more often.

Interesting note on Fable, when I talk to my pals everyone seems to compare their character and it seems we all have different looking characters. My Hero is a bad ass that’s all you gotta know.

Bon Jovi owns. Go Cowboys!

Star Wars Trilogy Bargain

September 17, 2004

If you haven’t already preordered your Star Wars Trilogy DVDs, then Slickdeals has an offer for you.

If anyone is considering DSL and SBC Yahoo DSL is available in your area then you may want to consider this special offer. If you sign up for DSL Pro which is 1.5 – 3.0MB then you get a free Xbox Live Starter Kit. I don’t know if the $35/month is a promotional price or what, but that is what I am paying for cable and if I was close to a CO/switch then I might be inclined to switch just for the starter kit.

Live Bookmarks in Firefox

September 17, 2004

For anyone using the newest release of Firefox (Preview Release 1.0) to view our page, I added functionality for Live Bookmarks. If you aren’t familiar with Live Bookmarks, Firefox just allows you to bookmark the RSS feed for a site and it creates a subfolder with links to all the current stories on the RSS feed. You can find more information about how they work on the Mozilla website.
