Hitman The Movie

June 15, 2005

Jax will love this! 20th Century Fox has announced Vin Diesel to play Agent 47 in the new upcoming film Hitman. The churning of game to film adaptations has been picking up momentum since Uwe Boll made his horrifying game based films. I think Vin Diesel playing Agent 47 seems like a good pick, but we will see quality of the story and its film production. I have my doubts!

Back in Action

June 14, 2005

I am finally back in action and it is nice to be back at work. Of course, things are beyond hectic and I feel like I am putting out fires left and right and there is not enough time in the day.

Despite only being gone for a week I feel highly out of touch with the gaming industry and our “world”. So what did I miss?

A Fond Farewell

June 13, 2005

As you can tell I am back from vacation. It was a much needed rest and I feel rejuvenated and ready to carry on. Before things get back into full swing there is something I have to mention though. Life is a lot like the games we all love. In order to sucessfully navigate life you have to pass a series of trials and tribulations. One of the distinct differences is that life lacks a hintbook to aid us on our way. One such trial has arosen in my life, but the future is bright. Over the weekend my grandfather, James Rasco, lost his battle with cancer.

This may seem like a tragic event and while it is sad, my grandfather was a great man who opened his home to others. Leaving this earth relieved him of the great amounts of physical pain he was in. We will be travelling up for his funeral today so tomorrow will mark a return to the norm for us here at Snackbar Games.

Gaming 411!

June 10, 2005

Most of you already know that GTA San Andreas is out for the Xbox. If you guys have been waiting for that title to come out for the best console system on the planet, then run to your nearest EB Games to get your copy. New pics of the remaining Halo 2 maps are all over the place, the Halo 2 Map Pack has been pushed forward to July 5th. That does not surprise me one bit, Halo 2 is milking it for all it can!

Speaking of Halo, a script has been written for the upcoming movie project. Writer of 28 Days Later Alex Garland was tasked with the assignment. Microsoft is searching for a studio that would be willing in making this monster of a movie. I have my doubts, but we will see!

And on a side note, since Pickle and Cone are out running around. I will be running this joint! And well, as much as I would love to giveaway something to you guys, unfortunately I don’t have anything interesting. But I will throw this out! If your in the San Antonio area, I along with other gamers will be getting some great Battlefield 2 in this weekend at XG. From what I have been hearing is that the demo is due out today sometime for download. So if your not in the area, catch us on Teamspeak by posting in the Battlefield 2 forums when you will be playing.

If you have not stopped by our sister site please do so and give us a holler. Moviethunder is a great site to sound off about movies. Just like Snackbar, (except movies) Moviethunder is a community of movie lovers of all kind to hangout and soundoff. I hope all of you have an outstanding weekend!

MOH Ships

June 8, 2005

EA Games has shipped the newest installment in the Medal of Honor series across North America. MOH: European Assault will have all new improved graphics, squad based controlling, and more objectives for its linear gameplay. European Assault will only be released for the Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox for an MSRP of $39.99. Personally, I think the MOH series has gotten old and there is nothing new to look forward to. BF2 is where it’s at!

Speaking of Battlefield, a demo should be released hopefully by weeks end, or possibly by next week sometime. As for myself, I will be the only person running this joint while Pickle and Snowcone are out enjoying themselves aross the country.
