For those of you who don’t know, the GP2X is an extremely homebrew friendly handheld with USB and SD-card support that is descended from a Korean portable gaming system. It’s fairly powerful for 2d gaming and video apps, but almost entirely community supported. Still I know a lot of people who were fans of the previous versions, and I’m sure they’ll be glad to know it’s still profitable enough to justify a slight hardware update.

Do you keep your PS2 and other systems on standby? I know I leave my PS2 plugged in on standby for days at a time that I don’t use it (as well as my DVD players and other things). This is apparently using up a lot of energy nationwide and contributing to global warming and such, so maybe I should turn it off when I’m not using it.
(I did turn off all my crap, including powerstips, while I was gone for a week. Go me.)

I chime in every so often, this time to bring you the direct link to the mp3 of our E3 podcast. Make sure to send your “What are you playing now” sound bytes in, so we can place them in our next podcast.

It’s about time this became a standard. Much more attractive and easier to deal with that paper sleeves. I have a few games boxed in this format and I prefer it.

Just a heads up that I am back in action and am working on a plan to stabilize our web presence which is going to involve migrating to a new host. I will notify everyone of any potential downtime so you don’t all freak out and start sending me emails if the site doesn’t load.
