Since the PS3 pre-order situation at EB/Gamestop snuck up on a lot of people, I wanted to get the word out that EB and Gamestop are starting to take pre-orders for the Wii tomorrow morning when the stores open. They aren’t announcing how many consoles are going to be available so get there early.

This morning marked the first and only day of pre-orders for the PS3 at local Gamestop and presumably EB stores. Most stores are reportedly getting between 8 and 16 units with harsh limits on employee reservations. The reports coming in so far have been mixed with some people just shy of scoring a system and some being among the lucky. Rest assured that anyone not scoring a PS3 preorder will have a chance to sell their first born to pick one up on eBay the same day the units arrive at retail.
