The hardcore German censorship board strikes again! This time, Command & Conquer 3 is the victim. The NOD faction’s suicide bombers will be removed from the game and will be replaced by bombers that place a bomb then, from a safe distance, detonate it. According to EA, this won’t change the balance of the gameplay, only an animation has to be changed. C&C 3 will be released on March 28.

The pedigree of The Legend of Heroes III is very strong due to its developer Falcom. Falcom is the creator of one of my favorite RPG series, Ys. I remember playing the first Ys on the Sega Master System and enjoying every minute of the game. When the Turbo Grafx CD system was released, I made sure to purchase the system just for Ys Book I & II. The series took a stumble, in my opinion, with the release of Ys III and has never recovered. It could be that Falcom has never recovered as well because The Legend of Heroes III just doesn’t achieve the same level of greatness as those earlier Falcom titles.

As the title indicates, this is the third title in The Legend of Heroes series, all of which have been released on the PSP. For those that have played the earlier titles, Legend of Heroes III (LH III) will allow you to import saved character data from earlier games. The characters from the first two LH titles can be used in special battles that you discover in the game. These battles are not connected to the main story of LH III, but the experience points collected in the battles do transfer over. Unfortunately you cannot use characters from the earlier games in the main story of the LH III.

Now for those that haven’t played the first two games, LH III is what I would describe as a tried and true RPG. If you’ve played a Japanese style RPG before, then you will not find any surprises in LH III. The plot, graphics, and game play of LH III will remind you of games you’ve played in the past. A game with a teenager as the main character? A love interest between the main hero and his female supporting character? Turned based combat? Check, check and check to all of these and many more clichA

Supreme Commander

It’s almost like Gas Powered Games’ Supreme Commander was designed with an awesome A

With confirmation for a PSP version of God of War found on the back of God of War II’s instruction manual, the question has since shifted to when it would arrive. Finally, a report from 1UP’s Matt Leone, who was on hand blogging Sony’s God of War II launch party has shed some light on the upcoming portable chronicle of Kratos’ brutal adventures.

According to the report, the PSP version will be a completely new game and will not feature any of the locations of the previous games. This may not sound like something big, but considering the PSP versions of Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia or GTA, gamers know that levels and stages are quite often recycled. The developers are currently deciding how they will solve having one less analog stick (which controls rolling on the PS2 games). No release date, or any other news has been revealed.

Leone also comments on the near inevitability of God of War III for the PlayStation 3, though to be frank that much was probably a given.

A man is currently blaming the PS3 controller, the SIXAXIS, for his impotence. He says that men that hold their controllers in their pelvis area while playing may have difficulty preforming in bed; at least, that’s what he said happened to him. There has been no confirmation from a medical professional if this is even possible. To many people’s surprise, he will not take this to court, but only wishes that his own tool would work properly.
