While we here are currently playing through Nintendo’s upcoming PokA

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families of the tragic events earlier today on the campus of Virginia Tech. I resisted posting this earlier because I didn’t want to put the spotlight on you know who so please refrain from this erupting into a political debate.

Capcom has just announced a new “law”-centric game for the PSP and PS2. The new game, titled Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, is no doubt spurred by the continued success of the Ace Wright franchise. The game is set to be released this fall and features the popular Adult Swim characters from the like named show.

Jack Syman, Director of Marketing for Capcom entertainment said “Capcom will be providing the game design direction while Harvey Birdman show writers will be assisting in bringing the stories to life with their unique brand of humor.”

This game will feature an interactive story versus a challenge based game that will set it apart from the Ace Wright style of gameplay. Each of the cases is a self contained story that features the off-beat humor the of the Harvey Birdman show.

Microsoft continues Xbox LIVE Arcade Wednesdays this week with a double-header. Gyruss, one of my favorite games, and 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures are slated for release.

Gyruss will be available worldwide for 400 Microsoft Points, while 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures will set you back 800 Microsoft Points. Both games are scheduled to be available on Wednesday, April 18 @ 2AM PDT.

In traditional Monday fashion, Nintendo has released three more classics for download over the Wii’s Virtual Console. The highlight of the collection is NES fighter Punch Out!!, though as expected it is the later re-released version with “Iron” Mike Tyson replaced by the fictional “Mr. Dream”. Bald Bull is still my favorite anyway. This one can be yours for just 500 Wii Points ($5).

Other releases today include Genesis polygonal fighting game Virtua Fighter 2 for 800 Wii Points ($8), as well as the TurboGrafx 16’s large headed sequel Bonk’s Revenge, available for 600 Wii Points ($6).
