In this week’s edition of XBLA Wednesday, Microsoft announced that two of my favorite games would soon be available; Xevious and Rush n’ Attack.

Xevious is a vertical shooter that my dad and I used to play on the NES for hours on end. It’ll set you back a measly 400 MS Points. Rush n’ Attack is a side scrolling action game that could be seen as the Metal Slug before there was a Metal Slug. It’ll also set you back 400 MS Points.

Both titles will be available at the usual time on Wednesday.

Like clockwork, Nintendo announced some new additions to the Wii Shop Channel in the form of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (SNES), Streets of Rage 2 (Genesis), and Blazing Lazers (TG16).

Blazing Lazers carries a 600 Wii Point pricetag while the other two will set you back 800 Wii Points. I know my wife, who is a huge DK fan, is going to require DKC2 even though we own it on every other system that it has ever been released for.

Today, Nintendo announced their summer lineup which included the announcement that Metroid Prime 3 was slated to drop on August 20th for the Nintendo Wii. Madden 08 and Tiger Woods 08 are also slated for an August release for the Wii.

The list of upcoming titles for the DS was more impressive in length with titles ranging from Brain Age 2 to 3 MegaMan titles. Here is the full list of upcoming titles for the Wii and DS:
