Capcom has announced that they are teaming up with Camelot Software Planning to develop a new golf based title for the Wii named We Love Golf!. Camelot has a proven track record as the team behind the Hot Shots Golf series as well as the Mario Golf series.

“Camelot’s pedigree in this genre, coupled with Capcom’s creative expertise, is a virtual hole in one,” said Nique Fajors, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment. “Combining an already great game concept with the exciting innovations possible on the Wii is a winning formula for an amazing experience for gaming and golfing fans.”

We Love Golf! is going to deliver a realistic golf experience while attempting to take a fresh new approach with the Wii’s motion sensing controls.

A member of the GBATemp forum has apparently written a homebrew application for the Nintendo DS that enables the system to act as a SIP VoIP Client.

To use the application you have to have an existing SIP account. Additional information on how to get the software setup and running is available from the application homepage and in the thread on GBATemp.

First Impressions: NHL 2K8

September 14, 2007

After writing my preview for NHL 2K8 I was kind of geeked up to see the much hyped new features actually worked. I can safely report that 2K has done an absolutely amazing job on stepping up the level of control that you have over your player and the stick in 2K8. I ran through a couple of Quick Games last night and kicked off my first ever franchise in any sport game.

So far I am loving everything about this game with the exception of the soundtrack. While lots of the music is good in it’s own right, it just seems a bit out of place to me. At any rate, NHL 2K8 is a very deep game so I have a lot more to try out before I will be prepared to do any type of formal review, but so far things are looking up for 2K.

I have yet to get my hands on EA’s offering this year, but when I do I’ll definitely share my thoughts on which is the superior game.

Microsoft, together with Bizarre Creations, announced today that PGR4 has now gone gold. The title was officially released to manufacturing and the new homepage for the game was also launched at www.pgrnations.com.

PGR4 is set to redefine the experience that fans of the series have come to enjoy with the addition of motorcyles which add a new dimension to the driving experience.

PGR4 will be available on Oct. 2nd for $59.99. Below are some screenshots of the final release of the game.

Earlier today, someone on the NeoGAF Forums caught a glimpse of what might be the next iteration of the Ninja Gaiden Franchise. The images were taken from a page on the Official Japanese Xbox site and have since been removed. The images feature an incredibly high resolution game with enough gore to make the original game blush.

The question now is when is this new game coming out and what platform(s) is it going to be headed to besides the Xbox 360?
