For those of you in London, keep an eye out this Friday the 13th for black cats. Not just any old black cat though — Warner Brothers has tuned these felines into walking billboards for the game F.E.A.R. 2. Click here for some cute and not very scary pics.

Last Friday, representatives from Namco Bandai showed up in a U-Haul truck to remove all of their assets from the offices of independent developer BottleRocket Entertainment, which had been working on a new Splatterhouse game for the publisher. BottleRocket management was informed that Namco Bandai had decided to transfer development of Splatterhouse to an in-house team.

Gamasutra reports confirmation of the story from a BottleRocket representative. A Namco Bandai spokesperson also confirmed the company and BottleRocket are no longer working together. On the same day Namco Bandai sent the U-Haul, BottleRocket employees were featured at a panel at the New York Comic Convention to discuss Splatterhouse’s development and show a new trailer.

Valve has announced today that they will be releasing the game’s first expansion this spring for Xbox 360 and PC. The new “Survivor Pack” will include a new multiplayer mode called “Survival” and two new campaigns for Versus mode.

For PC players, Valve is also releasing a free Software Development Kit to allow users to create their own campaigns. The SDK is also expected to be released this spring.

EA has released the first details about Battlefield 1943, a downloadable shooter. Built on Battlefield: Bad Company‘s Frostbite engine, the title will allow up to 24 players to fight across reworked versions of Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima from Battlefield 1942.

EA also announced Bad Company 2, to be released in 2010.

Both titles will release on the PS3, 360 and PC.
