Capcom sent us a friendly email letting us know that Resident Evil 5 has sold more than 4 million copies since its very recent release. That makes for 40 million RE games sold ever, and adding in the four movies, pretty much everyone has been attacked by Capcom-branded zombies at this point.

Washington, D.C.’s H.D. Cooke Elementary has added Nintendo’s rhythm quasi-game, Wii Music, to classes to increase interest. A local news station broke the story…and in typical mainstream media style.

This week’s Wii Shop Channel updates feature a little bit of the retro with a VC release of Summer Games II (C64) and a WiiWare release of BIT.TRIP BEAT from Aksys Games.
Summer Games II is a simple re-release of the Olympic Games title from the C64 and will cost you 500 Wii Points. BIT.TRIP BEAT is an original rhythm game that allows you to use your controller to bounce beats. BTB features nice retro visuals, four player mode, and a nice 8 bit retro soundtrack all for only 600 Wii Points. READ MORE
Capcom announced a new entry in the Resident Evil series for the Wii, as well as two Wii-enhanced ports of GameCube titles.
RE: The Darkside Chronicles, a sequel to The Umbrella Chronicles, is based on the Resident Evil 2 storyline and stars Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
The two ports, Resident Evil 0 and the port of the original Resident Evil, will be priced at $30 and feature full motion control.
