“Welcome to the Wizardry Renaissance!” The Wizardry series, missing in action in the U.S. since 2001’s Wizardry 8 and Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land, has always been a fan favorite for the old school RPG fans in the west since its inception in 1981. While Sir-Tech, the original developer behind the Wizardry series, has long since closed its doors, the series has lived on in Japan in the hands of multiple developers and fans keeping the series alive. Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is a fine entry in the series, and serves as both a refresher for the old-time fan and a good introduction for newcomers to the series and the dungeon crawler genre. We’ve known a Super Mario game for 3DS was coming since this year’s GDC, when Satoru Iwata revealed a few screenshots and a temporary logo in his keynote. Now we’ve played it, and… we don’t know that much more.

Dungeon Siege III, the first in the series to appear on consoles, is all about the comfortable fun. It’s about co-op, looting, gaining experience and taking down hordes of enemies. These elements are reliably enjoyable to play through, and we haven’t seen a full retail take on the genre for a while now. READ MORE

We’ve gotten a look at Kid Icarus before, but E3 was the debut of the game’s multiplayer mode. While the campaign is solely a single-player affair, this team-based competition implements the myriad weapon options for an experience that could keep the card close to the system once the game’s beaten. Indiana Jones is the quintessential rough-and-tumble, puzzle-busting treasure hunter and archeologist. Nathan Drake is quickly approaching Indiana Jones status though, as he embarks on his third adventure later this year. After a stunning introduction in Drake’s Fortune and a historically acclaimed sequel in Among Thieves, if anyone really needed another reason to love Nathan Drake as much as Indiana Jones, they now have it.
