Next Xbox to be Windows-powered

According to some new chatter, Microsoft plans to take a page out of Apple’s book and run a version of Windows 8 on their next Xbox. This would enable it to integrate closely with both Windows PCs and the Windows 7 Phone. READ MORE

The Fate/Stay Night franchise is somewhat well-known in Japan, but it’s as niche as they come here in the U.S. Despite this, Aksys Games took it upon themselves to localize Fate/Extra, a spinoff RPG aimed at a particularly niche bunch of fans, on a handheld console that isn’t exactly breaking sales records these days. If XSEED ever decides to give up the mantle of bravest publisher in America, we sure know who to pass it on to. READ MORE

While last year’s Kirby’s Epic Yarn was a nice, relaxing title for the Kirby franchise, it’s been 11 years since The Crystal Shards, which was the last proper console entry featuring Kirby’s signature copy powers and abilities. We’ve had several handheld iterations, ranging from great to average, but Kirby’s been long overdue for a new, grand adventure. Return to Dream Land is a spectacular, well, return to Nintendo’s home consoles, building up on its entire series legacy for what’s arguably the best game in the series. Welcome back, Kirby. It’s not often we see any World War II flight combat games on the market these days. While fans of this genre will most likely play the best of the best on PC, those few who own consoles and want to get some great flight combat action rarely see anything outside of Ace Combat. And so we have Air Conflicts: Secret Wars, a game appealing to such a specific audience that it limits its best features entirely. READ MORE
