After a couple of side entries in the series, Ubisoft has decided to end Ezio’s story and begin the next chapter of Desmond’s story. There have been many rumors about the location of the next game in the series, and recently it was revealed to be the American Revolution. From the looks of things, a number of core gameplay elements may be different than we remember.

The Tales series is a tough one to gauge in the US, marked as it is by inconsistent localizations and wildly varying quality. Despite the fact that 8 of the 14 main series games have eventually been localized, it’s probably a good bet that people haven’t played any of them. Regardless of your past Tales experience though, Tales of Graces f deserves a spot in your collection. READ MORE

Previously in GU, I discussed Power Grid, a game that I respect but hate playing. For me, the game simply requires too much work; every move has to be carefully evaluated to the point of encouraging analysis paralysis, and the return in fun for the effort invested is just not there. If someone could take the basic mechanics of Power Grid and streamline it a bit, I’d probably like that game very much. We’ve seen a lot of series reboots lately that are largely arbitrary. Whether the story is played out, the sales numbers are lagging or it’s just a whim of some person in an office, the result is rarely something worthy of a name reset.
