What up Snackbarians! Pretz here for a quick update. As most of you know, we had the honor to attend The Nintendo Enthusiast Summit this past week. I must say it was a blast, but I will have a full feature on the summit up for you guys here pretty soon. There was so much information thrown at me, I will try my best to put it all on a feature.
In other news, most of you know that Halo 2 will be out Monday at midnight. We will be Live at EB Games Huebner Oaks giving away some prizes, as well as giving some stuff on the site. The review for Halo 2 is already up on IGN, which was rated at 9.8. I was thinking of a 9.9 or 10 but that’s just me. Stay tuned folks, we have tons of activity coming your way.
Well it’s official, Half Life 2 has gone gold. The release date for this title has been set for November 16th. I don’t expect any more delays for this title, but who knows with Valves delay record. HL2 has been one of the most anticipated PC games for quite some time now. HL2 is expected to be one of the milestones for next generation PC FPS games. I have already pre-ordered my ultimate collectors edition copy, which is bone crushing 80 bucks!! The ultimate pack comes with tons of other games and some cool HL2 gear.
Just a reminder to all, the gaming world will be hit with tons of super uber cool games this holiday season, so stay tuned cause we might give some away.
I am a huge fan of first person shooters, you can tell by all the reviews I have done. It’s just my favorite genre hands down. I have been reading alot about Tribes Vengeance for quite sometime now, and so I was expecting a big turnout for the title. Unfortunately to my dismay I must say that this is THE WORST FPS OF ALL TIME!!! You have no control of the game, you can’t manuever, you can’t get a kill without killing yourself in the process, you actually get more team kills than enemy kills, the graphics suck majorly, the whole jet pack thing really blows, there is just massive chaos during the entire game, you can’t see crap on the map, it takes you 20 minutes to get to the other side of the map. THIS IS THE WORST FPS OF ALL TIME, HANDS DOWN! For the record I did play this game for a good hour, I tried different maps, I changed my controls on my keyboard to make me feel comfortable, I even played with a friend to make the experience pleasing. The game is like duck hunt on speed, crack, and heroine all together. THE GAME IS THE WORST FPS I HAVE EVER PLAYED!! I do not recommend buying, renting, or even playing this game. Bungie has officially announced that Halo 2 has gone GOLD!!! Halo 2 as we speak is being duplicated a million times over, in order to be sold on November 9th. Halo 2 will not be delayed and will surely hit the stores on Nov. 9th. This day has long been awaited by many, especially the ones who have pre-ordered it almost 2-3 years in advance. Stay tuned as we get closer to the release for some Halo 2 giveaways.
Thats right folks, Halo 2 has hit 1 MILLION pre-orders. Xbox has reported that the 1 million mark was reached today sometime, and claims this could possibly be the best selling game of all time. It has been awarded the most pre-ordered title in video game history. I can say I have contributed in that 1 million by pre-ordering four copies two of which are Limited Editions. How many have you pre-ordered?
In other news EA Games and Dice has released the new update to Battlefield Vietnam today. It features some new vehicles, tunnels maps and mod stuff. So make sure you download the update.
