Seems that in the past Star Wars has never impressed us with games with the exception of Knights of the Old Republic. Well in the Fall of ‘O4 they are making a come back. I just saw the trailer to SW Battlefront and it was amazing. And I am not talking about cut scenes either. I’m talking about actual in game footage. Also being released around that time is SW Republic Commando. Now I have seen dozens of screens for that game and it looks killer.
Also due out some time in the future is the DVD set of Star Wars Episode IV, V, VI. It’s about time those movies are coming out for DVD.
Since November, I have not seen one decent game released. This has got to be the most boring time of the year. I have not seen one game that is worthy of any kind of review on any level. All I keep reading and hearing about, are games that will not be released months from now. I keep reading about Halo 2, Fable, Star Wars Battlefront, Ninja Gaiden, Splinter Cell 2, and the list goes on. I keep hearing how wonderful these games are, but guess what? NO DICE!! I keep seeing the same freaking screenshots and I keep reading the same words being repeated by every writer. I wish this torture would end once and for all.
*Throws Xbox controller with fury*
I finally got the nerve to get a GBA SP this weekend. EB Games has been running some good winter deals, so I decided to take advantage of it. I have never been a big fan of mobile gaming, but the GBA SP has always intrigued me. Since I have been without my Xbox, PS2, and PC now for a month I just thought it would be suitable for me to get something a bit smaller and mobile. So here is to EB Games and Nintendo for ruling…Cheers!
Wow…my dreams are slowly becoming a reality. First Matrix and now Lord of the Rings. In a recent article on IGN.com, it seems that Vivendi is developing an MMO for LoTR entitled “Middle Earth Online”. I was actually mentioning it to a friend of mine at work how sweet that would be. You are given the choices of being four races, Man, Dwarf, Elves, or Hobbits. I am totally going to be all over this when it releases. The setting of the game will take place just when the Fellowship escapes the Mines of Moria. Also the entire body of Middle Earth will also be playable with expansions and downloads as time progresses. Expect me and hopefully Pickle to be all over this when it release this year.
What up Snackbarians…it’s your old buddy Pretz here droppin a line. It’s 2004 and I can already tell you that this year will ROCK THE HIZZY!! We have some great games on the way not to mention this years gaming expos that hopefully we will be at. I am already drooling over the upcoming titles like Halo 2, Starcraft Ghost, Splinter Cell 2, Half-Life 2, Mafia, The Suffering, Fable and many many more. I hope everyone of you will have a great new year and get ready for an awesome year of gaming.
