Though God of War 2 was only recently released in the States (and will be released this Friday in Europe), more God of War goodness is coming our way. God of War: Chains of Olympus is coming for the PSP, and for which you can view a teaser trailer here.

If you are really impatient, Sony thought of you as well. You can register on the official site to receive a demo on a UMD disc. Register here.

May 11th is the date that players can continue to fight the Tiberium Wars on the Xbox 360, with the help of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. The demo for Tiberium Wars was just made available on the Live Marketplace so grab it and let the action commence.

Lost Planet, one of the top games on the Xbox 360, has just lost it’s exclusivity as it was just announced that Lost Planet will be coming to the PC on June 29 of this year. Meanwhile, a gameplay video has surfaced.

Previously, we mentioned about the possibility of a new, suped-up black Xbox 360. Recently, a few pictures were taken with a mobile phone and leaked online, which you can view below.

The current unconfirmed rumors surrounding this new 360 is as follows. These Xbox 360s will be known as the “Elites” and will be limited to approximately 200,000 units. After these are gone, another Elite series will be released, this time in white and will essentially replace the current Premium console. These are only rumors, so treat them as such.

Rumor also has it that Microsoft is slated to release an official statement this week regarding this new 360.

As we previously reported, the complete list of backwards compatible games for the European launch of the PlayStation 3 has been released by Sony, revealing that many popular titles such as Metal Gear Solid 2, Silent Hill 3, and Jak and Dexter will not be playable on Sony’s new console due.

Much of this has to do with Sony’s shift from hardware to software emulation, a move that has also made games such as Final Fantasy XII and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories crippled by serious issues. However, thank goodness games like Shark Tale, Fisherman’s Challenge, and others that few people care about will work perfectly fine.

Sony Europe’s Nick Sharples spoke up on the controversy, though instead of offering hope for those interested in picking up a PlayStation 3, his words seems to only add fuel to the fire.
We will test all forthcoming PS2 titles, but it would be unrealistic to expect significant increases in the number of playable PS2 titles in future firmware upgrades given the above. Whilst J&D and MGS are not listed as playable, their successors MGS3 and Jak and Daxter 2 are playable.
And I think it would be unrealistic if a lot of people bothered with the PS3 until Sony remedied these problems.
