Mike Carabajal

This weekend we will be recording our podcast. We are talking about PC vs Console, which games are better on which? What this means is your going to hear me yap about how Rainbow Six on consoles is a total kiddie version of what it should be. Oh yeah and we will get your take on why you like the keyboard and mouse over a controller. So chime in, and dont forget to send us your What Are You Playing Now segments to [email protected]

Ladies and gentlmen we introduce a pet project we are working on, the first ever Snackbar Games Gamer Laws. Our next podcast will be about the righteousness that is the Gamer Laws. With the popularity right now of the Man Laws we decided to put a twist on them ourselves, but what is our twist without yours?

So please, get creative and post away, we want to hear your Gamer Laws. What we will do is vote on air on your Laws. If there is a majority vote, your law gets placed as a Snackbar Games Gamer Law. Example you say? Very well…

I. Let it be written that an owner of a system always has dibs on Player 1.

II. Let it be written that Uwe Boll should never again make another video game adaptation.

III. Let it be written that any “Fantasy” RPG where character creation takes place the user must pick a name that fits the setting.

a. Add on to law III: Users may not use names from Fantasy books or movies ie Gandolf, Aragorn etc…

b. Add on to law III: Users also may not use names from gamer pop culture videos such as Galstaff…

And of course, send your audio feedback (would be great to have audio Gamer Laws) and last but not least, your What Are You Playing Now segments to [email protected]

SB Teamspeak news

June 21, 2006

I regret to inform you that our Team Speak Server will be shutting down. The TS admin has this to say to you.

“It’s been a blast over these last few years being able to provide reliable voice communication to our friends. TeamSpeak worked well and thankfully, many other options have since surfaced. There is Ventrilo, Skype, and VOIP is built directly in games and consoles now, not to mention voice-enabled IM software are all available.

I’m going to be shutting down the TS server in another few weeks. You guys represent the various groups that have previously used the TS server, and may still be currently using it. If there’s a problem with that service just disappearing tomorrow and any data associated with it being scattered to the four winds, you need to let me know asap. ”

If there are any problems feel free to email myself or Snowcone.

Community News

February 18, 2006

Man I really do enjoy doing our podcasts, this last one in my opinon was one of our best, and Mr. Allen was a great guest stay tunned for the show early next week.

However I do have a few questions I want to toss your way. What do you want from a community website, what do you not want. Also how do you cats all feel about audio reviews and video reviews. I ask because we want to implement some media in Version 3 of our SB website, and of course I would hate to not get the community take on it. So think up, and yap up in our forums cause this is your website.
