The albums just keep on coming. Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that Motley Crue’s Dr. Feelgood will be available on October 14th, 2008 on Xbox LIVE and October 16th 2008 on the Playstation Network for their weekly dose of downloadable content for Rock Band. Dr. Feelgood is the sixth album available in the Rock Band Music Store. The album is also Motely Crue’s most successful ever.
The full ablum can be purchased from the Music Store for $15.99 (1280 Microsoft Points) or each track can be purchased individually for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points). Purchasing the album allows players to play the full album in Quickplay or in Tour Challenges. READ MORE
Harmonix and MTV Games have unleashed what is to be one of the most revolutionary concepts to date in the gaming industry. The opening of a specialty shop at RockBand.com has enabled Rock Band 2 enthusiasts to order customized merchandise they create in-game for their Rock Band characters and bands.
The game creators have partnered with Zazzle and Z Corporation to bring this concept to reality. Players can use the in-game Photo Creator tool to create and upload captured images using the Merch Booth tool to have the images printed on T-shirts, posters, stickers, bumper stickers, key chains, and buttons. Players will also have the option of using the Bandmate Creator tool to customize poses for their Rock Band 2 characters and have them manufactured into a detailed 6″ collectible bandmate. READ MORE
Rock Band DLC doesn’t miss a beat as nine new songs will become available tomorrow (10/7/2008) on Xbox LIVE and Thursday (10/9/2008) on the Playstation Network. The new releases include an Offspring three-pack and six additional songs by various artists; all nine songs being original track masters.
The Offspring three-pack is to include hits: “Gone Away”, “Pretty Fly”, and “Self Esteem”. The three-pack is priced at $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) or each track is available for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points). READ MORE
On Tuesday August 5, 2008 on the Xbox LIVE marketplace and Thursday August 7, 2008 on the Playstation Network, MTV Games and Harmonix will release the latest and greatest in Rock Band downloadable content. This week’s release will include a CrueFest track pack and two singles from System of a Down.
The CrueFest track pack is priced at $2.99 (240 MS Points) or each track is available individually for $0.99 (80 MS Points) each. The second wave of CrueFest track packs make available Buckcherry’s “Rescue Me”, Motley Crue’s “Face Down in the Dirt”, and last but certainly not least Sixx AM’s breakthrough single “Life is Beautiful”.
