TOP STORY: Kingdom Hearts 3D dropping this summer
Square Enix is obviously in no hurry to start working on Kingdom Hearts 3, but for now fans of the series can look forward to playing the next intermediary title, Dream Drop Distance. Described as the opening of the final act in the current storyline, Kingdom Hearts 3D follows Sora and Riku as they attempt to become keyblade masters. Gamers will be able to get their hands on it on July 31.
After a couple of side entries in the series, Ubisoft has decided to end Ezio’s story and begin the next chapter of Desmond’s story. There have been many rumors about the location of the next game in the series, and recently it was revealed to be the American Revolution. From the looks of things, a number of core gameplay elements may be different than we remember.
The Tales series is a tough one to gauge in the US, marked as it is by inconsistent localizations and wildly varying quality. Despite the fact that 8 of the 14 main series games have eventually been localized, it’s probably a good bet that people haven’t played any of them. TOP STORY: Class of Heroes 2 getting Kickstarted
In an event few people would have expected (though we did), MonkeyPaw Games has announced the first use of Kickstarter for a localization project. Their goal is to raise $500,000 to create a Limited Edition retail release of Class of Heroes 2. While the actual localization will happen regardless, it will only see a digital release without a successful funding. This will be pointed at as a test case for any future crowdsourcing for localization, so we’re hoping that there’s plenty of people interested in a Deluxe release of Class of Heroes 2. READ MORE
To celebrate the release of Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii next week, we’re presenting you with this U.S. announcement trailer for it. Whether this only whets your appetite for this already celebrated RPG or is your first glimpse into some of the gameplay, anticipation is high for its April 6th release.
