While it was reported that many Best Buy’s have them, I myself was in Target last night, and if it wasn’t for my upcoming wedding and all of my credit cards being maxxed out, I would have picked one up.

Target had about six or seven 360’s with a couple of them being the premium packages. If my local Target had them, I’m sure more of them have them in stock.

So, to those of you with $500 burning a hole in your pocket in anticipation of finding a 360, keep looking around. It’s looking like the rarity of one has dropped from diamond status down to gold.

Now my gaming minions… SWARM!!!

But what makes Nintendo think that I want to wait another week for the new Super Mario Bros. game on the Nintendo DS? Don’t they know that they are supposed to be catering to what I want? What gives Nintendo?

Some people are theorizing that it’s to coincide with the DS Lite launch in hopes of selling more units, which I suppose is alright, but I already have a DS. I just want the game!

DOH!

April 2, 2006

And that is why I gave everyone a fair warning about it being the first of April. Silly Snowcone. 😉

Why am I bothering to even bring it up? Well, I just want to make sure that everyone knows to take any news they read in the next couple of days with a huge pile of salt. Too many news outlets think it’s funny to report false news. While I can see the humor, it’s too overdone, and I will not be doing that here at Snackbar (at least not intentionally).

I just wanted to let everyone know. Don’t believe everything you read today, because it’s probably not true.

According to Gamestop, Rockstar North posted a press release about positions for people with networking backgrounds. While Rockstar North has done more than just Grand Theft Auto, that series is their pride and joy.

I myself have grown tired of the Grand Theft Auto series, and I was greatly disappointed when San Andreas didn’t turn out to have online multiplayer as rumored. I’ll admit that I only played the game for 10-15 minutes, but I just wasn’t feeling it. Rockstar North finally coming out with an online multiplayer GTA game may be exactly what it takes for me to give the franchise one final spin.
