As usual with an Ubisoft conference, the company ended the show with a big reveal, but a revamped Rainbow Six isn’t the only thing it showed off at this year’s briefing. Read on for Assassin’s Creed: Unity, The Crew, Far Cry 4, The Division and more!
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is a team-based multiplayer game very reminiscent of the S.W.A.T. series. The demo showcased a hostage rescue mission with four players against a team of hostiles attempting to get away with the hostage or kill the opposing team. No release window was mentioned, but we probably won’t be seeing it until 2015 at the earliest.
The first Assassin’s Creed available only on PS4 and Xbox One (and PC), Unity, was shown off after an impressive co-op demo at Microsoft’s conference. The game’s single-player was demonstrated, complete with some new UI elements, including a sparse HUD, and side quests that seem to mix in with the main campaign.
Other news from the event:
The Crew, the company’s racing franchise that saw prominence at last year’s show, is nearing release. The game features hours-long missions letting players take long driving trips instead of the traditional rapid-fire challenges.
The Just Dance train continues with the 2015 installment. It has all the songs you will be tired of before its release this October. Also introduced was Just Dance Now, a free mobile companion app that allows larger groups to play.
Ubisoft is also continuing its line of fitness games with Shape Up, an Xbox One exclusive releasing this November. It features a rhythm game mode and performance recording technology that lets you face friends’ ghost data or earlier records.
New trailers were also shown for Far Cry 4, Tom Clancy’s The Division and soon-to-be-released UbiArt title Valiant Hearts: The Great War.
