I’m excited to unveil this, the new look for Snackbar Games. As part of our tenth anniversary celebration, we’re bringing back the original color palette, as well as the playfulness of the site’s 2002 look. (Don’t worry, we’re not making the background eye-blazing orange. That stays in the past!) We’re also taking the opportunity to fix a few browser-compatibility issues, and hopefully put the Snackbar content you know and love in a more readable, accessible context. We do hope you like it.
Let us know what you think! Definitely bring any issues to our attention, too, as these things tend to happen. (If it looks funky, try a hard reload first. If it still looks that way, tell us.)
To commemorate the launch of Pokemon Black Version 2 and White Version 2 last week, Nintendo held a celebration of sorts near New York Comic Con. Attendees could get prizes (like shirts and a code for the downloadable Pokemon Dream Radar) for trying out the game and getting photos with characters, and band I Fight Dragons was on hand to play for the crowd.
Look for our review of Pokemon Black 2/White 2 soon.
We’re at New York Comic Con, getting hands-on impressions of upcoming games. Look for those in the next few weeks. Until then, check out our gallery from the event!
San Antonio, Texas is not exactly the epicenter of the gaming world. It’s close to Austin, so that helps, but for some reason it was the site of this years’ GameStop Expo. This is a show tied to the company’s managers conference, where game companies provide special presentations and hands on demos for store managers and employees of the retail giant. The consumer-focused five-hour event was a bit like a bite-sized E3, with over 50 game companies there to show their stuff.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 includes two-player simultaneous okay throughout the full suite of levels, we learned during Wednesday night’s Nintendo 3DS event. The game, out August 19, also has that focus on coins talked about earlier this week. READ MORE
