Bethesda and Splash Damage were showing off their new FPS, Brink, behind closed doors. The new title from the Enemy Territory team looked impressive.
The game, set on a manmade space world cut off from humanity, lets you play as Security, the police force viewed by some as oppressive, or Resistance, the freedom fighters that are at times seen as terrorists.
There are different classes like the Operative and the Soldier, and players can change classes at any time. Each class has its own objectives generated for it, so teams can consist of any combination with no problem.
The entire game can be played offline or online with up to 8-player co-op, and players can change at any time.
We couldn’t take pictures, but the game looked great. It doesn’t suffer from the common tendency to make everything look brown for the sake of “realism.”
Brink isn’t due out until 2010.
