Telltale Games hosted a press event last night where they revealed a host of information that nearly any gamer will want to know. A few new game series were revealed, along with the first real details on the Jurassic Park series that Telltale is creating.
First, Telltale revealed that they will be working on an episodic reboot of the old King’s Quest series, with multiple episodic series planned. No more details were revealed, though more was promised at E3 in June.
Next, Telltale revealed some gameplay for their Jurassic Park series. It looks to play more like Heavy Rain than Sam & Max, with a large reliance on quick time events for the action. It will also take place during the original Jurassic Park movie. The first episode is slated to come out in April.
Another new series announced was an episodic series based on the Fables comic book series. Fables is a series that takes characters from popular fables and exiles them to New York City. The first entry in this series is expected to land during Q1 2012.
Finally, Telltale announced that they’ve decided to make a sequel to Puzzle Agent. Puzzle Agent 2 will once again follow Nelson Tethers and is set to launch later this year on PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad. Coupled with this announcement, Telltale expects to release the original on PSN this spring.
