TOP STORY: Nintendo Network on Wii U and 3DS
During an investor meeting this week, Nintendo released a ton of information regarding the Wii U and the 3DS. (Speaking of the Wii U, Nintendo is reconsidering the name.) As for the big news, Nintendo gave the first details on their new online service, Nintendo Network. In addition to allowing online tournaments and DLC downloads, it will include individual user accounts rather than hardware-based accounts. Mario Kart 7 is already using an early version of the Nintendo Network, as is Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

TOP STORY: Resident Evil 6 detailed and dated
Capcom was apparently sitting on a Resident Evil 6 announcement until it had a whole chunk of data they were willing to give up on it (namely a date: November 20). Taking place roughly 10 years after the Raccoon City incident, RE6 will feature separate storylines for Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield: Leon’s focused on America, where the President is zombified, and Chris is heading to China. New characters will be introduced and join them in their attempts to fight the bioterrorism outbreaks. Additionally, while not specifically mentioned by Capcom, the Xbox.com entry for RE6 says that it will support two-player offline and six-player online co-op.

TOP STORY: Vita 3G data plans unveiled
The biggest question Sony left lingering in the minds of the gaming public has finally been answered. Two plans will be available: $15 for a 250MB-per-month plan, and $25 for a 2GB option. While these prices are pretty much standard for any AT&T data plan, AT&T, the exclusive carrier for the Vita, says that no contracts will be required for them. As such, gamers can cancel them at any time and renew them again whenever they want to.

Titled XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Firaxis is planning to keep alive the spirit of the classic series by sticking with as much of the original style as they feel makes sense in today’s gaming environment.
