Since the feature set of the 360 was announced there have been rumors that MS would at some point push out a new version of the console. Pictures are circulating that this time may be drawing near. The lack of HDMI support and the puny 20GB HD make the 360 ripe for an upgrade. The photos up on Engadget are making their way around the blogs and gaming sites today so I figured I’d join in on the fun. I contacted Microsoft and got the expected response of “Microsoft doesn’t comment on rumor or speculation” which I knew was coming.
That being said, as a current owner of the 360 a physical upgrade that added an HDMI port would make me very envious of not holding out for a newer model. The inclusion of a 120GB HD would just be icing on the cake.
With the current trend of burning early adopters in our market, just what will this hold for future console launches? If you have a 360, will you upgrade to a newer console if its released? Does it make you angry that you would be missing out on sweet new features like this unless you upgraded?
