Like a painting come to life, El Shaddai strives to combine something we’re all familiar with, character action games, with a gorgeous art style and intriguing story that is rarely found in most games today. Prey 2 is nothing like the original Prey. It’s set in the same general universe. There are aliens. Seriously, that’s about it. You’re not even controlling original protagonist Tommy, but instead taking the role of U.S. Marshal Killian Samuels, tracking people down and capturing them. READ MORE
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a big game. This is by design; 38 Studios chief Curt Schilling brought in who he could, picking up developer Big Huge Games to realize a world created by R.A. Salvatore and envisioned by Todd McFarlane. The game’s set in a fantasy world, and it features many gameplay aspects you’ve seen in games like Dragon Age, Fable and Oblivion, but it has its own feel. The focus is making not just a large, sweeping world, but a large, sweeping game to inhabit it. READ MORE
Retro revivals are a growing trend these days, and for the most part, we’ve enjoyed seeing our old friends get a new coat of paint. Warlords, on the other hand, seems like your standard revamp-gone-wrong, with too much meddling and tacking on ornaments to keep the original’s fun. READ MORE
