Since Epic’s game, Gears of War, debuted on the 360, there has been an 80% increase in Xbox Live! users in November. Though there is a 48 hour Gold trial included with the game, the 80% increase in users is still insane. Gears of War was the only game, even if for just a week, that managed to throw off Halo 2 from the #1 spot of played games on Xbox Live!. Since Halo 2’s release in 2004, there has not been a comparable increase in Live! users.
